- Ownership inscription inside front endleaf: Lizzie [Lezzie?] Sandys. Date 1882 is on a recipe midway in the volume, some recipes may be earlier and later in date.
- Written in several hands in England, place names Islesworth and Nottingham are in the volume.
- On final endleaf are two lists of clothing and the name Charlotte Smith.
