A proposed solution of a riddle taken from a Roman epitaph found on a tomb in Bologna in the late 16th century. It purports to be dedicated to a woman named Aelia Laelia Crispis from an unidentified man Lucius Agatho Priscus.

Leaf [dagger]1 is added title page with engraving of a knot within a circular ouroboros frame bearing the motto: Ingenio connexus dissoluitur arte.
