Burlaeus's commentary, edited by Matthaeus Campagna, on Aristotle's and Porphyry's works on logic. Included are Latin translations of Porphyry's Isagoge and his introduction to the Praedicamenta (Categoriae) of Aristotle; Aristotle's text of the Categoriae; Gilbert de La Porrée's Liber de sex principiis, a commentary on the last six books of the Categoriae; and Aristotle's Peri Hermeneias (De interpretatione). The commentary immediately follows the relevant portion of the text.

Chancery folio, printed in double columns. Leaf a2r: 70 lines to a full column, plus headline; area of text: 230 (238) x 149 mm.; col. width: 70 mm. Initial spaces, some with guide-letters. Woodcut diagrams. With signatures; without foliation or catchwords. Register (which does not agree with actual collation) on leaf n7v.

Bound in one-quarter brown morocco over brown cloth boards; three raised bands on spine; author, title and date ("Aristoteles. Categoriae. 1492") stamped in gold on spine.
