- Summary:
- What was life like for the upper classes of Mogul society? This program appraises the status of empresses, harem favorites, and the Rajput warriors in the Mogul Empire over the course of its history. Details of life on the throne, in the boudoir and in the army's elite forces illustrate a culture both opulent and narcissistic. Prestige is also reflected by the grandeur of the Red Fort at Agra and the Palace of the Winds, the Amber Fort, and the modernistic, sculpture-like Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory in Jaipur.
