Vanitas vanitatum et via vanitas") of Georg Ayblinger within initial on leaf [b]1r; modern ms. inscription ("J. Stockton-Hough Collection") in pencil at foot of back pastedown.
- Penn Libraries copy bound in modern one quarter red morocco over red cloth; 5 raised, blind-tooled bands on spine; blind-tooled spine panels; title ("DE PROPRIETATIBUS RERUM"), author's name ("BARTHOLOMAUS DE GLANVILLA") and imprint date ("1483") stamped in gold on spine; all edges stippled red; evidence of finding tab at fore-edge of leaves [b]1, [b]4, [c]2, [d]1, [e]2, [i]2, [k]6, [n]5, [p]4, [q]5, [q]7, [r]4, [t]2, [v]1, [A]1, [B]7 and [H]7; remains of parchment(?) finding tab affixed to fore-edge of leaves [x]2 and [O]1.
- Penn Libraries copy imperfect: leaves [a]1 and [R]8 (blanks) wanting.
- Penn Libraries copy has minor repairs to tears and wormholes in the margins of a few leaves; occasional dampstaining; the head outer corner of leaf a[2] and the tail outer corner of leaf [R]7 each torn off and mended with a blank leaf with no loss of text.
