Summary:
Sam Grunion, private eye, narrates the story of the missing Romanoff diamonds. On Broadway, a group of poverty-stricken young hopefuls, in need of a backer, are fed by Harpo, who takes from the rich to feed the poor actors. During a raid, Harpo pockets a sardine can containing the diamonds concealed in the tin by Madame Egilichi to smuggle them into the States.
