Summary:
"The Maʼbugiʼ ritual of the Toraja seeks to restore the health and prosperity of the community. Unseen spirits are sommoned with song, dance and offerings to the village center. Trance occurs and the possessed dance, massage the ill, and perform unusual feats. Knife wounds are rendered harmless by a red tabang leaf. The ceremony is narrated by the Tominaa, pirest of the ancestral Toraja religion." -- opening frames.
