Summary:
In the first volume of his monumental Evagatorium, Félix Fabri explains his work to his monastic brothers, justifies the practice of pilgrimage to the Holy Land, and recounts his first, frustrating, journey (1480) as well as the first stages of the second, from the monastery to Venice (1483). In the second volume of the Errances, Félix Fabri recounts the sea crossing from Venice to Jaffa, difficulties at the border on entry into the Holy Land, the ride on a donkey to Jerusalem, and, at last, the visits to the holy sites, the minute and enthusiastic description of which takes up most of the fourth treatise. Publisher's note.
