Not known to Antonio, Ximeno, Fuster etc., but cited by Salvá y Mallén ut supra, "y mi ejemplar ... es el único de cuya existencia tengo noticia." cf. also Barrera y Leirado, p. 395.
The 1st cuaderno contains nine "canciones" and one "vilancico", p. [2-16]; the 2d, with special title "Villate de Amor". ?Enfados de muy grandes auisos, y prouechosas sentencias, nunca impressos, ni vistos hasta agora. Puestos a gesto por Montidea, grande amigo de Diamonte ..." contains the "Enfados" and the "Tercetos de Montemayor", p. [16-24] followed by "?Coplas en que se trata como Diego Moreno el q̃ otro tiempo tuuo tanto descuydo de su muger : agora la mata de celos?, p. [25-28], ?Otras de Diego Moreno quexando se su muger", and a "Cancion," p. [29-23].
Montidea is an anagrammatic form of Timoneda, as is also Diamonte, the name under which the author issued this "Turiana", 1565.
Diego Moreno, who figures in several of the author's productions, is an imaginary being representing the patient husband. cf. Slvá y Mallén, Catálogo.
