- "Franklin, having published a full collection of the charters of Pennsylvania in 1740, probably did this new setting primarily to be bound with the 1742 collected laws of Pennsylvania. Some early copies were dated 1741, then in a stop-press change the date line was repositioned and the year altered to 1742. This 1741 printing and the version dated 1742 and bound with the Laws are therefore of one typesetting except for the variant imprints."--Miller.
