D'Urfey, Thomas, 1653-1723.

7 preliminary leaves, 5-382, that is, 388 pages ; 20 cm
Place of Publication:
London : Printed for W. Chetwood, 1721.

The two queens of Brentford.
The Grecian heroine.

Ariadne.

Elegies, poems, and new songs.
Poems on several occasions, and songs.
Notes:
Each work has special t.p. (with title vignette, except the first one)
The catch word on p. 80 doesn't agree with the first word on p. 81: some lines on top of p. 81 seem to be wanting. The running title on the same page reads "The fate of tyranny" instead of "Bayes no poetaster." The epilogue to "The two queens" (p. "[84]"-"[88]") seems to have been added here later, since p. "[85]"-"[88]" are on two extra leaves signed "[G3]"-"[G4]" preceding G3 (t.p. of following work, not signed) and G4. This causes the repetition of no. 85-88 in pagination. Also no. 348-349 are repeated.
Head- and tailpieces; initials.
Local Notes:
Number for page 249 is printed weakly; appears to read 29.̲
OCLC:
4026306
