Summary:
Focuses on the International Sweethearts of Rhythm, an all-female multi-racial jazz band of postdepression years that originated at the Piney Woods School in Mississippi and became one of the most popular bands of the 1930's and 1940's. Includes reminiscences by band members and fans interwoven with rare archival footage of the band in performance along with music, photographs and memorabilia from private collections.
