- The conference held in April 1999 in Wuhan not only reflected the considerable progress recently realized in the field of partial differential equations (PDE), but also served as the first act of a planned program of scientific exchange between China and Italy. Of the 59 lectures given, 26 are compiled in this volume. The subject areas of the ungrouped papers include: linear and nonlinear microlocal analysis, nonlinear hyperbolic equations and systems, nonlinear elliptic equations, spectral theory, and PDE and applied mathematics.
