An abridged history of the world to 1714, presumably copied by a London school girl, Sarah Bazett, whose name is on the title page. Includes a preface "traduite de l'Anglais."

Title and date from title page (p. iii).
Pagination: Paper, i (contemporary paper) + 79 + i (contemporary paper); [iv], 1-15, [i], 1-135, [iii]; contemporary pagination in ink, upper outer corners.
Script: Written in a cursive script by one hand.
Decoration: Illustrated frontispiece in black and white watercolor depicts a student seated at a desk looking a winged figure (Time) who is pulling aside a curtain to reveal Biblical scenes in the history of the world including the Flood and the nativity of Christ.
Binding: Red morocco, gilt.
Origin: Written in London[?] in 1775.
The text of this volume is the same as that of Ms. Codex 640, however the prefaces are not the same.
