Layout: Music is square notation on a five line staff, (f. 1-59r); square notation on a four line staff in two additional hands, (f. 60v-64v).
Script: Written in a formal Gothic book script by several hands.
Decoration: Red used for initials, capital strokes, and staff.
Binding: Contemporary leather over wooden boards, clasp intact; leather flaking away, particularly along spine.
