- Summary:
- A story about a well-known Carnatic singer Raman whose popularity wanes because of his addiction to drink. His protege and younger brother Gopi is forced to subtitute for him when, during a performance, Raman is booed off. This causes a rift between the brothers and Gopi gives up singing until a now-chastened Raman persuades him to make a comeback at an important music festival. However, Raman is killed by a truck and Gopi is to keep this secret in order not to ruin the marriage chances of his mute sister. Gopi is later accused of having murdered his brother.
