New Testament has special dated title leaf (leaf *1) which reads: The Newe Testament of our Lord Iesus Christ, Conferred diligently with the Greeke, and best approued translations in diuers languages. Imprinted at London by Christopher Barker, Printer to the Queenes Maiestie, 1582. Cum gratia et priuilegio.

RBC copy imperfect: all before leaf ²A1 (including general title leaf and Book of Common Prayer) wanting; leaf ²Y6 wanting with a leaf from a different black-letter edition of the English Bible bound in its place.
RBC copy bound (as issued?) with: R. F. H. Tvvo right profitable and fruitfull concordances, or large and ample tables alphabeticall. Imprinted at London : By Christopher Barker ..., [1581].
RBC copy also bound with: The whole booke of psalmes. At London : Printed by Iohn Daye ..., anno 1581.
RBC copy has a few early ms. marks and notes in text.
RBC copy has tipped in after front free endpaper 1 ms. leaf containing a dated 19th-century ms. inscription ("To Dr. William Camac, - A memento of hospitality receiv'd at Woodvale. With the sincere respect and regard of George P. Fisher June 11th 1896") recording the gift of this volume to William Camac (1829-1900) from George P. Fisher (1817-1899).
RBC copy has laid in typescript card identifying this work (incorrectly) as "THE GENEVA BIBLE OF 1581 CALLED 'THE BREECHES BIBLE.'" with quotation from A. Edward Newton's The greatest book in the world and ms. annotation ("+English").
RBC copy: leaves closely cropped at head margin with occasional damage to running head.
RBC copy has tear in tail margin of leaf ²D7 with damage to printed marginalia; lower portion of leaf ²D8 torn off with some loss of text; tail inner corner of leaf 2B6 torn off with some loss of text; portion of tail margin of leaf 2D5 torn off with minor damage to text on verso; tail outer corner of leaf 2G8 torn off with some loss of text; tear in leaves 2I8 and 3C6; portion of tail margin of leaf 3E8 torn off with some loss of text; tail outer corner of leaf 3I2 torn off; greater part of leaf *1 (New Testament title leaf) torn off with loss of most of subtitle and imprint; tail outer corner of leaf 3K7 torn off with some loss of marginalia on recto; tear in tail inner corner of leaves 3L1-3L2.
