"The first of these, which is printed here for the first time, is a manuscript, Cgm. 46, now the property of the Bayerische staatsbibliothek in Munich. The second is a printed edition from the press of Johann Grüninger in Straszburg, bearing the date 1512. The third is a very brief summary, also printed by Grüninger as explanatory text with a very large wood-cut that illustrates in full the allegory of the ship". cf. p. 12.
