- Summary:
- Czech sociologist Potucek combines theoretical explanations and descriptions with interpretations of concrete public-life situations in his country, and to some extent in other post-communist countries, since 1989. He analyzes the effects of the market, government, and the civil sector on each other and on society. Then he examines themes for which explanation is founded on identifying the specific regulatory role of the three sectors, including privatization, corporatism, corruption, and the Mafia. The study was first published as tu a obcanskho sektoru v promench cesk spolecnosti/> by Sociologick nakldatelstv, Prague, in 1997. It is not indexed. Annotation c.
