Summary:
This is the first book to deal with the three dimensional works of Cobra, an important contributor to 20th century art. A group of Expressionists from Paris formed in 1948, they sought to give free expression of the unconscious without any intellectual influence.
Although best known for their painting, it is the unique three dimensional pieces that better represent their oeuvre. A review of their works reveal how the actual materials are used (be it stone, metal, wood, clay, etc.) to inspire their new forms of expression.
