- The Museum Educational Site Licensing Project (MESL) was begun in 1994 to explore the possibilities of using electronic networks to increase the availability of cultural heritage information. Participants tackled a variety of issues: content selection, image capture, recording and transmission standards, user training, economic analyses, intellectual property questions, and many more. This report and its companion volume, Images Online, document the project's methodology and the lessons learned from its implementation. Includes survey instruments and a data dictionary.
