- Film profiles the former President of Burkina Faso, Thomas Sankara who emerged as an idealist in a generation of young people concerned with material wealth. In office, he engineered drastic improvements, from the symbolic change of the country's name to providing real health care for the country's children. On October 15, 1987, he was assassinated in a coup engineered by fellow officers.
