RBC copy (volume 23, no.5) has inscription, written in pencil, which reads "Hope you haven't had this magazine before, and that you will find something interesting in it to pass the time away. Yours Sadie. Mama wants me to caution you to keep an eye on your purse, and not lay it down when you go to the toilet, that is if you have a purse. This is one of the rules laid down for 'Yours Lovingly' five years ago. Don't get homesick, as I did five years ago to-day, and cry like a baby. You must be dignified, and even if you should want your 'Ma' you must not show it. SM."
