Chancery folio. Leaf a2r: 47 lines, plus headline; area of text: 190 (203) x 123 mm. Initial spaces, most with guide letters. Headlines on all printed leaves except pi1r-p2v and e4v-e6v. With signatures; without foliation or catchwords. Woodcut illustration (120 x 117 mm.) on title leaf: portrait of Hemmerlin walking in a landscape, carrying a book in his right hand and a hammer in his left, with seven bees flying around his head.
Signatures: pi⁴ a-2g⁶.
Leaves pi4 and 2g6 are blanks; leaf t2 signed s2.

Penn Libraries RBC copy bound in quarter cloth over marbled paper board; spine tooled in gold with shelf-mark ("Jb. 1070") stamped in gold at foot; remains of gold-tooled leather spine label ("FEL. HEMMERLIN Opuscula. (Basil. 1497.) s. l. et a[...]"); remains of parchment(?) finding-tab affixed to fore-edge of leaves q1 and h4 (evidence of such tabs on leaves c5, i6 and r4); all edges speckled red.
