Summary:
Solomon Elhanan Jaffe's rebuttal against the aspersions cast against his St. Louis mikveh by Zechariah Joseph Rosenfeld, with his accusations against Rosenfeld's St. Louis Eruv, in agreement with Jerusalem rabbis.
Notes:
Approbation by Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem Samuel Salant, Naftali Hertz of Jaffa, and Shaʼul Ḥayim of Dubrovnik, then of Jerusalem. Woodcut vignette of Jerusalem, and imprint, following approbations.
Additional printed responsa and letters of support include: Joseph Zechariah Stern of Šiauliai, Isaac Elhanan Spektor of Kaunas (Lithuania), and a responsa from Tsevi Hirsch Zilberman, rabbi of Kalamazoo, Michigan (page 147).
Following Eliʻezer Greyeṿsḳi's ʻEn Eliʻezer is addenda by the author called Bet tefilah, and a set of responsa called Taḳanat ʻagunah (the author corresponding with Yitsḥaḳ Raḥman, rabbi of Teofipol, Ukraine (then called Ṭshan) on matters of Agunahs).
