"[T]he signatures mainly on the first and the third leaf (the third leaf signed with a '2'--with errors), from quire 6 to 10 inculsive, quired with the full names of the characters ...; quires 21-23 [i.e. ²1-2⁸ 3⁴] (index) numbered 1-3 [the first two signed only on the third leaf and the third signed only on the first leaf], third leaf of quire 24 [i.e. [bet alef]]: [bet] [alef]; the last quire unsigned. Occasionally anticipating letters of the first word of the next line have been filled in at the end of the line to produce even line endings."--Catalogue of books printed in the XVth century now in the British Museum.
