Set of parts consisting of: 23 instrumental parts to the entire oratorio and 10 chorus parts (John Ashley, no plate no.); 13 ms. instrumental parts for the Mozart 1789 arrangement of the work (probably copied for the April 30, 1828 performance by the Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia) and 22 ms. chorus parts (also copied ca. 1828).
Stamped on parts: "Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia General collection."
The printed parts all bear the inscription "B. Carr". These parts were the property of composer and publisher, Benjamin Carr.
Parts are marked with numerous alterations, including cuts.
The manuscript instrumental parts are for Mozart's additional instrumentation. The trombone parts are missing. The ms. chorus parts begin at Part 2 of the work.
