Summary:
Presents a portrait of composer and performer Lou Harrison. An eclectic artist whose music reflects a profound appreciation of Pacific cultures, Harrison has, since the 1930s, ardently combined Western and Eastern musical styles and instrumentation. Presents a collage of his music, life, and philosophy which he speaks of at length, with statements from some of his friends, such as John Cage, Virgil Thomson, and instrument maker Bill Colvig.
