Summary:
Environmental illness, traditionally thought of as originating in one's surroundings, may actually be physiological in origin. This theory inspired "Environmental Illness" based on the author's 17 years of research and clinical work with several hundred patients. Staudenmayer describes alternatives to toxicogenic explanations for symptoms attributed to low-level chemical sensitivities and addresses the problem of multiple chemical sensitivities from a physiological viewpoint.
