Musical works showing Oistrakh as violinist and conductor, and various recordings of Oistrakh speaking about music, in the context of work sessions on a recording, a lesson with one of his students, and interviews. Also includes performances by some of his students.
The 6th, 8th musical works, originally for piano, the 7th originally for orchestra, all transcribed for violin and piano. The 9th work originally for violin and piano, accompaniment orchestrated. The last three sections of spoken word are from an interview with Grigori Schneerson.
Recorded at various times between June 19, 1953 and March of 1974.
