Summary:

To satisfy his dying mother's wish for a daughter-in-law, Mohan, a college professor, seeks help from one of his friends who brings home Champa who is really a courtesan. The mother survives and wants Mohan to get married but he refuses when Champa's true identity is revealed. At the end, there is change of heart and Champa is accepted both by Mohan and his mother.
