In this expanded second edition, the volume includes an index that significantly enhances the book's value as a research tool. Basket photographs and descriptions are grouped by geographic region, then subdivided by tribal affiliation. Collection dates and descriptions of basic technology are provided, and proveniences, function, materials, and maker are referenced when known.
