Notes:

The suppressed work is a set of extracts from Hermann Busenbaum's Medulla theologiae moralis as enlarged by Claude La Croix which bear on the theory of absolute monarchy and the relationship between the papacy and the French crown. The original work is in Latin. These extracts give a Latin text with a French translation in parallel cols. According to the Arrêt the proceedings for suppression were set in motion on the petition of four Jesuit officials in Paris who wished to disassociate themselves and their order from Busenbaum's propositions.
