Notes:
Condemnation of a work signed by 40 lawyers of the Paris bar in support of 3 clergy of the diocese of Orleans who had mounted an "appel comme d'abus" against episcopal pressure to conform to the canons of Unigenitus. The ordonnance particularly attacks the claim of the mémoire that "le pouvoir des clefs" was essentially spiritual, not temporal.
