"In part, this book was conceived to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the publication of Franklin Walker's first compilation for the Club of Norris letters (1956, #92). The letters and fragments included here, twenty-six of which have not been previously published, cover the years 1891-1902. An appendix contains forty-one inscriptions by Norris. Foreword by James D. Hart."--Book Club of California.
"Five hundred copies of this book were printed by Will Henry Powers and Wesley B. Tanner in Berkeley. The title page portrait was cut in wood by Rik Olson of South San Francisco. Stan Nelson of Columbia, Maryland created the special [character] character for this book, cutting the punch and driving the matrix. Phelps/Schaefer Litho-Graphics Co. of Brisbane printed the illustrations. The type, Monotype Scotch Roman, was composed by Mackenzie-Harris Corp. of San Francisco. The paper is Mohawk Superfine Text. The books were bound in San Francisco by Cardoza-James Binding Co."--Colophon.
