Summary:
The story, as told by Sgt. Howard Hanamura to his daughter, of the 100th/442 Regimental Combat Team, a segregated, Japanese American combat unit which fought in Europe during World War II. The ultimate mission of these soldiers was upholding the honor of their people. They fought against racism as well as against the Nazis.
