"In the first issue the Gilliss Press seal, on the page following text, measures 1/2" in diameter, later 34" (scant). A dime completely covers the seal in the first state, leaves it slightly apparent in the second."--Cf. Russo.
Red cloth binding with front cover and spine gilt stamped. Top edge gilt stained. Endpapers have decorative design with initials B. T. in center and decorator's initial in lower right.
Culture Class Collection copy 1 has clipping from Publisher's Weekly of February 28, 1931 laid in.
