- Publisher's cloth binding: Designed by Margaret Armstrong. Midnight blue fine-weave cloth over boards. Central surround on front cover enclosed within a gilt-stamped single rule border terminating at top with stylized, blue-stamped forget-me-not flowers and green-stamped waterlily leaves, and at the bottom turning into decorative flourishes. The iInside of the surround decorated with gilt-stamped swimming fish that form two circles. The lower one contains a large shell with a stock protruding upward and carrying a cluster of stylized, blue-stamped forget-me-not flowers and green-stamped waterlily leaves, flanked by undulating, green-stamped underwater plants and gilt-stamped air bubbles. Gilt-stamped lettering inside the upper circle. Gilt-stamped decoration, a partially repeated cover design, and lettering on spine. Back cover not decorated. Untrimmed edges.
