Summary:
Side 1 describes piano's invention, how it differs from a harpsichord, names important composers and pianists, shows how the industrial revolution affected the origin of the piano, and points out how the work of certain pianists influenced the following generations of pianists, with many musical/video illustrations, principally excerpts. Side 2 contains complete videotaped performances of several compositions (the first 11+ bars of the 1st work are missing), and completes one work, an excerpt from which appears on side 1.
