The European Union Handbook explains in a clear and concise manner the historical evolution of the European Union. Each essay is written by a specialist contributor who has also provided a further reading list with annotations. The final essay looks at the possible future direction of the EU. Useful supporting material in the form of charts, maps, tables, and relevant texts completes each chapter.
The European Union Handbook ends with a reference section providing: a general bibliography with critical annotations; a glossary of EU terms and acronyms; biographical entries on major personalities of the EU, past and present; a detailed chronology; and a full index.
