Summary:
Set in Ceylon. Taylor accompanies her new husband (Finch) to his tea plantation, built on an ancient trail used by elephants to reach water. Cholera and drought dwarf the love triangle formed when Taylor falls in love with the overseer (Andrews); finally thirst-maddened elephants destroy the plantation.
