Nicholas Grimshaw is one of the pre-eminent figures of the British architectural scene. Colin Amery charts the line of Grimshaw's development from his student days at the Architectural Association onwards. Like Mercedes saloons, Grimshaw buildings show a steady evolution, model to model, an evolution which is illustrated in detail here with photographs, plans and drawings.
