Summary:
By his own count, Moyle had two religions: Mormonism and the Democratic party. He alternately praised and criticized both. He knew nearly every religious and political figure in Utah during six decades and considered himself intimate with several national leaders. He had hired John Henry Evans to write his biography, but both became ill and died before realizing their goal. As an insider and as the father of a future LDS apostle, Moyle's memoirs are particularly insightful.
