Summary:
Author Bill Groneman explores a theory that the book With Santa Anna in Texas -- A Personal Narrative of the Revolution by Jose Enrique de la Pena, a leading authority reference for Alamo history, may be based on a forgery that was produced long after the events of 1835-36. Join the author as he explores the character of de la Pena, an officer who allegedly took part in the Mexican campaign against Texas, and examines the diary itself to determine if the physical evidence constitutes a hoax. If indeed it is, some of the facts we hold dear about the events at the Alamo may be only myths. Through this book, readers form their own conclusions.
