- Paper covers with single orange border, title, author, and illustrator printed in black under orange bordered panel containing a drawing of a fox in black and orange, sewn throught the fold with orange thread. A slip with vignette of a horse and rider and "With best wishes" sewn in.
- "To be used as a Christmas card, this pamphlet editon with six drawings by Lionel Edwards was published by the Medici Society ... One change was made from the American copyright text: in the fifth line of the sixth stanza, the original 'built a Car' becomes here 'pupped a Car', an alteration retained in all subsequent printings."--Cf.
