Originally published, with illustrations by Joseph Pennell and others, in Scribner's magazine [i.e. The Century] of June, 1888, pages [225]-245, with caption title: A printer's paradise. The Plantin-Moretus museum at Antwerp. It was reprinted, with the illustrations, for the Grolier club in 1888 with title: Christopher Plantin, and the Plantin-Moretus museum at Antwerp.
