Disc 1 recorded by Helen Roberts in 1923 in Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi, by Kenneth Emory and Theodore Kelsey in 1933 at the Bishop Museum, and by Vivienne Mader in 1935 and 1936 in Lalani Hawaiin Village in Waikīkī.
Most of the material on disc 2 transferred from 78 rpm discs.
Program notes, bibliography, and Hawaiian texts with English translations ([1] + 8 + [1] p. : ill.) on and bound in container.
