Summary:

• Script: Written in cursive script by several hands. Also includes various marginal and interlinear corrections and notes in various hands.
• Binding: Modern paper boards. The leaves are not all of the same size. Some have been folded slightly to fit the dimensions of the cover; others are slightly smaller. Cover worn, particularly at hinges. Various stains and smudges. Some oxidation of ink. Edges of some leaves slightly torn and frayed. On most pages the text fills the space between the gutter and the edge, leaving no side margins. Many pages also lack topic and bottom margins.
• Origin: Written in Italy in the early 17th century (Zacour-Hirsch).
• Modern dealer's description in German pasted inside upper cover.
• Backer-Sommervogel (II, 679) lists this ms. as the only Italian translation of the legend of St. Beatus (Zacour-Hirsch).
