Title from title page (f. 1r).
Heading and incipit (f. 3r): Risposta di lettera ad un amico. Mi recerchi con gran premura la descrittione del mio giardinetto ...
Foliation: Paper, i (modern paper) + 35 + i (modern paper); [ii], 1-28, [iv], contemporary foliation in ink, upper right recto; 168-202, second set of contemporary foliation in ink, lower center recto; [1-35], modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto. The second set of contemporary foliation indicates that this work was probably at one time bound into a larger volume.
Layout: Written in 23-26 long lines.
Script: Written in a cursive script by a single hand, with a few corrections in a second hand.
Binding: Modern boards. Modern rebinding has eliminated the gutter on the verso side of each leaf and has thereby caused some text to be lost. Some stains and smudges.
Origin: Written in Italy in the late 17th century (Zacour-Hirsch).
