Summary:

Collection of various texts: treatises on music, hymns and psalms for the office, all with musical notation. The first five and last four leaves are blank, as well as f. 10 and 133-40.

• The bulk of the manuscript is taken up by the fourth text. Some parts of this are missing.
• Foliation: Paper, 185; [v], [1-176], [iv]; modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto. There are also traces of an older, possibly contemporary pagination in arabic numerals, upper corner of each page, sometimes inner corner and sometimes outer corner.
• Script: Written in several hands.
• Decoration: Decorated initials and borders; drawing (f. 9r); extensive use of red for headings, etc.
• Binding: Stamped calf, with traces of metal clasps, circa 1800. Binding weak in places. Cover splitting along the spine. Pastedowns damaged. Slight evidence of worm damage. Stains. Some oxidation of ink. The blank pages appear to be later additions, since the paper seems slightly different.
• Origin: Written circa 1700 (Zacour-Hirsch; Dr. Kenneth Levy).
